Municipal Planning & Policy 

MAPP partners with Regional Planning Commissions and Offices of Local Health to support municipalities. We provide assistance to towns exploring planning and policy options that create healthy environments. For towns in our service area, we can help facilitate communicy dialog around visioning (what is the towns "niche"?), help to establish the foundational language needed in a town plan to "activate" the vision, support communicy change and policy development that creates action! 

Over the past few years, we have been working with Two Rivers Ottauquechee Regional Commission, Southern Windsor County Regional Planning Commission, the Vermont Department of Health, and other partners to develop a toolkit for town health & wellness committees. The toolkit includes resources for organizing a committee, policy change, project ideas, and measurement and evaluation.
